Sleepy is an auto-shutdown utility for Windows PCs. There are four actions that Sleepy can automatically carry out for you: shutdown, restart, lock computer, and log off current user. All these operations can be scheduled and you can set a few rules for each action. The application has two modes: basic and advanced. The basic mode allows you to add a single action whereas the advanced mode allows you to add several rules and customize them further.
For example, in the basic mode, you can set the action to "Shut down the computer" and then select one of the 11 options for the "day" you want the action to take place. You can pick any week day or a range such as "Every Sunday (work/school nights)". Those are very good for setting very specific actions. For time, you can set the hour in a 24-format. An interesting setting allows you to prevent the use of the computer for 8 hours after shut down time.
The advanced mode allows you to further configure your desired actions. In short, the application can be used to regularly carry out one of the available actions. During the configuration process, steps can be taken to prevent the application to be disabled or turned off, which makes it ideal for computer control.
